Services

Group Classes

These classes are taught in a group of no more than 10/12 people and are aimed at different levels of ability and experience. All classes require pre-booking due to limited spaces.

Beginner – Introduction to Pilates, for those with no experience and keen to learn the basic principles.

Matwork Fundamentals – Low-level class, focusing on basic principles of Pilates, suitable for those with a little knowledge but want a little more than taster.

Matwork Intermediate – Aimed at students with previous experience of the Pilates repertoire, who would like to progress a little further.

Chair Pilates – Low level, for people who are unable to get to the mat. Offers a great full body mobility workout, with particular attention on improving posture.

Personal Training – This can be arranged either as a one to one or up to 3 people. You may have a specific problem area that you would like to focus on that can’t be given its deserved attention in a group class.

Small Private Groups – You may have a group of 3 -5 people that would like to do Pilates at a time that suits you.

Lower level class suitable for beginners or anyone with some previous Pilates experience.

Chair based class – designed for anyone who finds it difficult to get to a mat.

Tuesday

18:20 – 19:00 Online Pilates from your home

Online class – suitable for all levels, mindful Pilates class with emphasis on improving mobility, posture and gentle strengthening. Classes are very varied giving you many options to work at your level in the comfort of your own homes. Small 7/9 inch soft balls used to add variety and further challenges to some exercises.

Wednesday

9:30 – 10:30  One to one session

Thursday

11:00 – 11:50am – Aylsham Community Gym Studio – matwork

Suitable for those with some experience of Pilates, with focus on the fundamentals of the movement.

14:00 – 14:50 – Emmanuel Church Hall

Matwork class suitable for beginners – focussing on the fundamentals with plenty of mobility.

Friday 

9:30 – 10:15  Aylsham Parish Church

Chair based class – designed for anyone who finds it difficult to get to a mat.

11:00 – 11:50 am – Pavilion on the Recreation ground in Aylsham.

Matwork Pilates class – suitable for anyone working to improve overall mobility and improve posture. Great class for counterbalancing sitting and building deep muscle strength to assist spine stability and power from the inside out.

Group class booking information

All classes are payable in advance to secure your place.

Unless it is a one-off ‘Taster Week’ or holiday class, group Matwork may only be booked as a block, not as individual sessions. In the event of a late cancellation (within 2 working days of the start of a block of classes) or in the event of a ‘no show’, you will be charged at the full applicable rate for the block.

Sorry, any classes missed in a block cannot be refunded separately. I will do my best to offer you an alternative class at the same level or lower within that block (a make up class). This is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

All make up classes must be within the same block and cannot be rolled over.

If you are coming to a block of classes for the first time, I will ask you to complete a Health Screen Form, which should be sent back to us before your first class – or handed in to me when you arrive. The information on this form enables me to be aware of any injuries or other limitations so that I can ensure that you are working safely in the class.

Online Classes

What you will need for your Online Pilates Class:

  • Quiet area, away from spouses, children and pets
  • MS Teams account downloaded onto your computer
  • A mat and a block/cushion or towel (if normally used)
  • A bottle of water
  • Enough space to ensure you don’t collide with furniture when you are moving your limbs around you
  • Comfortable yet fitted clothing, socks or bare feet
